Simpson Model 479 TV FM Signal Generator

Description

Vintage Simpson model 479 TV_FM signal generator test equipment. For alignment of FM radios and televisions.
For refurbishing.
I briefly brought up the line voltage to 105V and confirmed the B+ high voltage was present on the can capacitor, it measured 200V and 214V on two can capacitor terminals. Current draw was steady with no signs of overheating.
The only other testing I did was confirm that there was signal output in the "audio" switch position. Per the manual, it should be 400 Hz and it measured around 380 Hz. No other testing was done. The controls move smoothly, as does the veneer dial needles.
It is in good clean cosmetic condition for its age. The right dial glass has been pushed in at the top, the dial needle still clears the glass. The glass could be repositioned back into it's clips if the assy were disassembled.
17" x 7" x 14.5", 34 lbs. The higher shipping cost reflects the weight and size of this piece of test equipment.
The AC power cord insulation and the test lead insulation have partially hardened and should be replaced.
